St. Petersburg, FL – WRH Realty Services, Inc., a full-service real estate investment, property management, construction and consulting firm headquartered in St. Petersburg, Florida, has sponsored a musical group, “An Acoustic Thing” comprised of company team members to compete in St. Pete’s Got Talent, a charitable evening of fun (live music, a silent auction, food from local restaurants, drinks, VIP rooms, a talent show, etc.). The winning team will receive more than $10K in prize money to be awarded to the non-profit of their choice. WRH is supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters, which provides children facing adversity with one-on-one mentoring relationships in an effort to change their lives for the better, forever. Children in the program have a better chance to succeed in life and experience things they otherwise may not have the opportunity to. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay serves children in seven bay area counties, directly impacting our local community and ensuring the success of its future.
“An Acoustic Thing” is comprised of Jessica Throop on vocals, Camilo Buitrago on guitar and Jay Meder on upright bass. Jessica’s husband Josh will play percussion and Camilo’s brother will join the group on guitar. Our CEO Mark Rutledge, will also serve as one of the event judges.
In addition to the prize money awarded to the winning talent act, show proceeds will go toward feeding our city’s hungry. Last year, Kobie Marketing raised 46,500 pounds of food for the St. Petersburg Free Clinic, filling their coffers for over 6 months. This year they’ve upped the ante and created the event in hopes of reaching their goal of 100,000 pounds of food.
At the event, St. Petersburg’s business community comes together for a fun evening of a talent competition, all in support of St. Pete’s local charities. Jannus Live has donated its entire space for the evening to host the community’s first ever talent show, with acts coming from St. Petersburg local businesses. Kobie Marketing is leveraging its success from last year’s #StompOutStarving event, which raised 46,000 pounds of food and a delivery truck for the St. Petersburg Free Clinic, and extending its reach with its partners from our local business community, in this 7th annual event. The Free Clinic feeds roughly 40,000 people a month.
